Bruce Hartleben is an experienced lead system architect with 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to Iterative, he was lead architect and senior developer at Catamount Algorithmic Trading LLC in New York, where he designed and implemented a high-frequency trading system and market-making platform, writing real-time data feed handlers and automated risk management functions. His systems encompassed trade reporting, reconciliation, historical data and multiple vendor intergrations.
As a senior project manager and software developer at OTA Management, Bruce improved infrastructure performance by using AWS cloud to reduce model-calculation costs and increase system speeds. His responsibilities there extended into trading analysis, where he optimzed ETF valuations based on closed-market currencies. Bruce's early career includes stints at startup hedge fund Quantlab Financial, as well as engineering roles at the Zweig Companies, a proprietary money manager and Sequor Group, where he wrote and maintained a secure international clearing system. Bruce holds degress in math and physics from St. Olaf College.
